I DO NOT recommend this can opener to anyone!!! It does not even deserve one star. 1. It is hard to get going and hard to twist the handle. 2. It cuts under the lip of the can and leaves a very sharp top edge to the can. 3. You can not hold the can securely because as the lid is cut off the can becomes almost impossible to hold because the liquid in the can spill on your hand and the sides of the can collapse further spilling the contents. 4. Because the can collapses while you work to twist the handle you run the risk of a serious cut to the hand. Do not confuse this product with a safety can opener that leaves no sharp edges and the can maintains its shape.
