Ordered these because it was certified and the after market cable I purchased was causing compatibilty errors. I used these cables without any errors and left it plugged into the USB AC adapter without the iPhone plugged in. The following day, I nearly burned my fingers because the plug side that plugs into the phone had over heated and the insulated covering was burnt and melted! See photo of the plug. Not sure if this is a fluke as the other cables(set of 3) will overheat as one is attached to my computer and it is not left on as with the AC adapter. The other has not been used as yet. Will test these to see if they will also over heat. I don't believe this could be a fire hazard by itself, but could if anything flammable is near it. Just be aware of this problem!!
