The selling point of this item is that parameters can be monitored on cell phone using an App downloaded to the phone. The Yunmai-supplied App is DEDICATED SPYWARE. Upon installation it tries to collect ALL private information, including browsing history, contacts, other apps installed, location etc etc, up to 12 different privacy violations. According to Norton Security, the App sends your information to "servers unknown", but we all know where they are located. This continuous spying activity drains cell phone battery and downgrades performance.It is useless. I immediately uninstalled the App and I am returning the scale, since much cheape versions without BT are available. UPDATE: Since I submitted this review, Yunmai is bombarding my account with spam emails asking me to delete it or change it. Below are (verbatim) some of their "explanations" on why their app is so intrusive to your privacy: They don't make logical sense and they have no explanation on why they spy on your browsing history. Device ID & call information--------- About us will link to yunmai official website, which is easy for customer contact us. They offered me bribes to change or delete my negative review. They made me a "Yunmai VIP", so now they send me free products if I write good reviews. So, if you want a free scale, this is what one can do: Buy one from Yunmai, return it for refund, write a negative review, and then they will send you one for free, if you delete your review. Win-win
