upper knee joint unsupported = knee pain
The pillow is plenty soft and fits well between the thighs. The problem is that it only supports the thigh, not the knee joint. Thus, after a short time, the knee on the upper leg begins to hurt. So, you trade one pain for another. Not a good solution.
