I was really looking forward to using this pad since it looked perfect for me and my wife with the wireless remote, and two zones. I just took it out of the box to use it for the first time. Placed it on the bed without sheets to test, plugged it in, and a spark occurred in the middle of the bed leaving a small rip in the pad and a black spot on the mattress cover. I am definitely returning it now, and don't plan to get a new one since I really don't want that to happen while we are in the bed and have any chance if a fire.
