Are these seconds?
This spring, my husband and I converted back to ethernet from wifi to cut down on rf exposure. These are cute little gadgets that should do the trick nicely for our Macbook Pro laptops. After six months, my thunderbolt connector is still working fine. Several weeks ago, my husband's laptop started dropping the internet connection. At first, we thought maybe the computer was getting old. It was an intermittent problem. Then he couldn't get a connection at all. However, when he borrowed my thunderbolt connector, he got on fine.
Six months for a $30 part is crappy, but I let it slide and ordered two more, just to have one ahead. They arrived yesterday, and guess what? Neither one works! We tried them on both laptops and in both ports. Nothing. That's two dead in the box out of four and one that lasted for six months. I am suspicious that this company is selling seconds, items that can't pass quality control or in some way failed inspection. I have sent back the two bad ones and am awaiting two more, but I don't have faith in this seller. I can't imagine Apple parts being 75% rotten, so I'd buy from someone else in the future. The only reason I'm dealing with this seller is I already paid for two, and we run an internet business and need the connectors, and we live in a rural area. If the replacements are defective, I'll buy somewhere else.
