First I’ll say that the quality of the product is great, the band and monitor seem to be high quality. BUT this in no way does what I hoped it would. I own a Garmin Instinct which I love, when I workout I don’t always wear the watch because I need wrist wraps or other equipment, so I hoped this heart rate monitor would be a way to track my HR while allowing me to use wrist wraps. Apparently this device only works in conjunction with the watch, and does not connect to the Garmin Connect app. From what I’ve read it will work with other fitness apps but not Garmin's which makes no sense, I wanted to love this product but honestly am not even sure the purpose of it since it only works when I wear the watch, which already tracks HR, and it doesn’t even work in its own app.
