38yrs in construction and still own many pre-china made Porter Cable tools as well as many other manufacturers tools. I broken down and bought this set to satisfy my curiosity and my 1st thought upon opening for inspection was that these would be well suited for a general homeowner that uses them infrequently, very infrequently. The second thought was they were just the TOY versions of what Porter Cable should be producing. Bottom line is, and this statement is to Porter Cable... Right now there is a prime opportunity to bring your manufacturing back to the USA and get back on your once great legacy of producing HIGH QUALITY tools once again, tools that real contractors that place demanding conditions on tools require... give up on the cheaply made China cheap labor junk and reap the rewards of being a leader in tooling once again!
