Bought this radio two months ago. At first it was wonderful. It worked perfectly. But after one month the lights on the buttons started failing. Not a big problem so I didn't complain. Now the alarm doesn't work correctly! It only buzzes even when it is set to wake up to music. It just changed on it's own and no reprogramming fixes it to wake with music. What else is going to fail on this radio?? Unfortnuately Amazon only has a one month return policy on it so now I have to deal with Sangean under warranty. To do that I have to PAY to ship it to Sangean and also PAY for the warranty repairs! Buy this clock radio at your risk. I wish Proton still made clock radios. UPDATE: So I paid to ship the radio back to Sangean and they returned another one to me. The serial numbers were differrent. I cannot tell if it was a new or refurbished unit. No paperwork came with the shipment. I've been using the radio for a coouple of weeks now and the lights are still working unlike the first one. However, the Wake-up buzzer started two days ago when the radio has always been set for the wake-up alarm. The setting says radio, but the buzzer goes off. This was a problem with the first unit too. I am not very happy with the quality of this radio. I don't think we should have to pay for warranty work. Purchase at your own risk.
