The colors on these are so pale, they're not useable. The tips aren't dried out... they write smoothly, but the color is easily HALF AS BRIGHT AS THEY USED TO BE. Some of the colors are even paler than that. I ordered a set of fine and a set of ultra-fine tipped markers and BOTH sets are pale like this. When the first pack was pale, I thought it was just a fluke--that happens sometimes. But when the second pack was that way as well, I realized it must be a design flaw. *see photos: the only markers I had from last year's set that still worked were purple and black. I drew a dot with those in the middle to show the contrast.
