Purchased this unit a couple years ago. It worked fine up until about 6 months ago. There is some malfunction in the microwave/heating element that caused the side wall to get so hot it turned black and started melting plastic. Thought it may have been something splashed on the area , cleaned it and tried it again and it worked up to today. Again the same malfunction occurred and you could see the same area getting red hot, melting the side wall and nearly catching fire it we hadn't turned it off. It is outside of warranty and other reviewers report Panasonic's war ninety service to be sub par. I will not buy a Panasonic again
