I initially gave this 4 stars based on a positive initial impression. I am changing that now for 2 reasons, shoddy construction and non-existent customer service. The very first time I used the weeder rake, it broke in short order. I was using it for very light duty, scraping the surface to ~1/4 inch, in prep for grass seed. The rake head broke off where it entered the handle. I suspect a manufacturing defect as it appears the shaft had a thin spot where it broke, but have on-going concerns about quality of construction of the entire set. It feels cheap. As to customer non-service. I have twice emailed customer service with pics of the broken tool and an explanation of the use under which it failed, asking for a replacement. I have heard nothing, zip, nada - non-responsive. Subsequently, the fabric of one glove tore ~ 3-4" along the stitch line during the simple act of pulling it on. Chintzy fabric. Additionally, potential buyers beware: many of the positive reviews here may be based more on the lure of premiums than on actual use. "Customer Service" was very active promising premiums for customer reviews right after purchase, but when it came to actually servicing a customer, they went dark. And, since you asked, no, I never did receive the promised premium. That may or may not be indicative of the integrity of this company. Here are some useful highlights of my prior hasty, lure of the premium, review: Stainless steel heads have held up under digging through heavy clay soils, as has the weeder. Note that the blades on the two trowels are quite flat, and thus not great for scooping and moving soil. The gloves are a nice addition for light gardening work, but decidedly not heavy duty. Haven't stressed the bag yet; it also appears to be lighter duty; however, the flexible band for holding the tools in place is a nice feature. Update: After 2 gardening seasons, most of these tools have broken: metal bent, business end separated from handle, etc. I am dumbfounded these are Amazon's Choice; they are distinguished only by their inferior quality.
