True story: Bought a blender from Hamilton Beach (through Amazon). Excellent blender, best ever for the price which was under $35. The little plastic ring broke that holds the blades to the glass. It's a nothing little piece of plastic, the least sophisticated part on the blender. Even though it's under warranty (6 months old) Hamilton Beach wants $5.99 to ship it to me. I wanted to get an extra since this obviously is a part that will fail repeatedly. They offered an extra for $5.99 + another additional $5.99 shipping. That's almost half the cost of the ENTIRE BLENDER. For a small plastic ring. Listen, I like the blender, but the warranty policy is a rip off, and the idea that you pay double the price for slow (10 day) shipping on a piece of plastic is just stupid. I even offered to buy an extra, just put it in the same shipment, NOPE, they want double the price of the part for shipping for each piece. This is the last HB blender I buy.
