They actually kill off James Bond (and Felix Leiter) and I seriously want my money back! Did they hire the writers of Dexter to come up with this ending? What is this, the Marvel Universe where you can just kill off a character who's been around for half a century and then just pretend you didn't do it by having them come back in the next movie? Well, if tasteless post-modernist Hollywood can end a movie by killing off Superman, I guess they can defecate on a half-century of public support for the 007 franchise by doing what they always do in Hollywood (or should I say Silicon Valley) these days. . . instead of writing a satisfying ending that affirms values, the writers jump off a cliff flipping the bird to their audience AS IF that makes them avant garde. In case the current owners of the Bond franchise were unaware, disrespecting tradition is damned un-British! Unless the franchise is sold to completely new owners, I will not be back to watch any more James Bond movies in the future.
