★★☆☆☆
I was wrong.
Do you live near a cemetery? Would you like to know what the zombie apocalypse is like? If so, purchase this fan because the racket it makes when it wobbles unsteadily and falls over could wake the dead!
Why does it make this rhythmic wobbling, cranking noise, you might ask. Does it hate us? Is it sentient? From my research, and from opening the fan up to see its twisted inner workings, no, it is a simple manufacturing defect. The blades you see, are plastic and very easily are moved from their precarious position upon the motor.
How does one fix this? After putting the fan back together, I discovered that pressing on the middle of the fan where the logo is, while it's on its fastest setting pushes the blades back into the position they need to be in to smoothly rotate. After a while though, and especially if you move the fan around a lot from the window to the floor like I do, it begins wobbling and making noise again.
In conclusion, I bought this fan because it was cheap, and I am poor. Other fans have fancy features and although I looked at them, I thought to myself, no. No, I do not need the luxury and quiet of a $50 fan. Nay, not even a $30 fan. For I am not a picky person. I am content with the mass-manufactured, unexceptional fan. But I was wrong.
