design flaw--unit falls apart
it looks nice and assembles easily however there is a major design flaw. the scratching post, which holds up the perch on top of the unit, is hollow and made of cardboard. so when the cats scratch away at it, the perch eventually falls off the top, as you can see in my photo. it cost me around $80 and lasted for 6 months. seems a bit expensive for a throw away item.
