Birds get caught in this feeder! In less than two weeks of having it up, I've had two birds get their wings caught in the wide slot where the seed comes out. 20 plus years of various feeders and never have I had this experience. Both birds were small finches. I was able to free them, but only one lived. The second small girl suffered a broken wing. This feeder went straight into the garbage since my purpose is to feed birds, not endanger and/or kill them! Made me horrifically sad.
