I have excellent vision, but I needed to purchase a magnifying class to to discern small circuit deviations. I wanted something relatively cheap and sturdy. I have no great issue with the construction--the cover on the battery compartment could slide on more cleanly, but that is about all the issue I have on that front. What is really, really disappointment is that the magnifying power is no where near 30X. It may be as little as 2X or perhaps as great as 3X power. But that is it. It is really disappointing given how this is being advertised. it is useless for what I purchased it for. For people with macular degeneration or vision acuity that is slowly fading . . . this will probably be more than fine for daily reading purposes.
