Delta has a lifetime warranty. All you have to do is call and they will ship you this part for free. I had the same leak 5 years ago and just now remembered calling them then and receiving the part......I just called again. they were nice and it took less than 5 minutes on the phone and they are sending out a new cartridge, springs and all, no questions asked other then when I bough it so they can get the correct model to you. If you read the product description here it even says you can get this part free. Just hope I can save someone some cash.
