The way this product was advertised, my husband bought it thinking it was more of a picnic-blanket type thing that we could use on the beach. Well, in reality it's literally just a small tarp. It's got holes in the corner to stake it down. If you want a small tarp you can get one at any hardware store for 5 bucks. This product worked good as a small tarp (we ended up just tacking it down in front of our tent to put our muddy shoes on and whatnot) but I definitely would not call it a "mat", "pad", "blanket", or anything that the description says. It's a tarp and it's made out of tarp material and it's the thickness of a tarp.
