I just received my order of a bottle of this Balsamic Vinegar literally within the last 10 minutes or so, tasted it, and can honestly say in my opinion it's NOT in any way shape or form a good (or even mediocre) quality balsamic vinegar. We went to Italy last year, and like many Italy tourists, we were introduced to the real thing, and brought some home with us. This ain't it. This vinegar claims to be DOP. It's not. The bottle's wrong. (A specifically shaped bottle is required for real DOP Balsamic) The quantity is wrong. (DOP Balsamic is bottled in 100ml bottles, NOT 250ml as this product is sold) And most assuredly the taste is completely wrong. As soon as we uncorked it, the strong vinegar smell hit us both. Then we tasted it, and it had a strong astringent taste, with a long, unpleasant aftertaste. A real, good quality balsamic is very smooth tasting and any aftertaste is a pleasure to remember. This isn't. We won't be keeping this, because I can't think of anything I'd want to serve it on.
