So this is a good little kit if you want to teach your child how to build a flashlight. First you'll have to go to the store for some batteries - remember, this is a "kit' not a "flashlight" then you'll need to find a hardware store that sells rubber o-rings. You'll need two as even if one of the flashlight kits came with an o-ring it's unlikely they both did. Either way, the o-ring included with the flashlight kit is the wrong size (too small) so you'll need a thicker one to make the flashlight kit water tight once it's put together. Now the tricky part, the gland nut that hold the lens in takes a special wrench which is non standard. The best you can really hope for is to tighten it as best you can by hand. Expect to spend a couple of hours running around town to get the parts needed to assembly the flashlight kit. Once put together, it's not bad.
