Several times I have come down to the basement (where my computer is) only to hear the long beep. EVERYTHING is powered off and the computer didn't even shut down correctly. What a waste. Software shows ZERO power interruptions, yet my computer is shut down. Use the software to run a self test - Result: "Unable to carry out a self test at this time" As a UPS, this is LESS then USELESS! Update July 2020 -Trying again. NOTHING plugged into it and it just emits a constant beep. Who needs this? Apparently it's too late to return this, just over a month of less than useful life. Update: Karma, I guess: As I was editing this review, everything powered off. No beep, just no power. Contacted customer support: No answer. Update: A month later and I replaced it with a Cyberpower unit which actually works. When I unplugged the APC unit the computer immediately powered off. Still no response from APC.
