Like several comments above, I also smelled something burning one night in my office and couldn’t figure out what was the culprit for awhile. When I located the source of the problem and tried to turn off the salt lamp, I almost burned my hand by touching the dimmer/switch. As you can see from the photo, part of it was melted. Glad I was there that night. Or my office would have been on fire!
