Hi. I put on a pan of water at 100 degree setting. Within minutes, I had hot steamy water (175 degrees according to my infrared thermometer) If this would have been butter, it would have burnt. This was the case with both units. They sent me replacement units. I tested one of the units, and it also had the temperature issue. I didn't bother unpacking the other replacement unit. So, not precise at all. Not only that, but they told me the amount of water I put in the pot would make the temperature vary. Here's the rip off part....the return process. I will be refunded $33.33 (the initial payment). The original shipping and handling of $59.90 is non-refundable. So basically, I received defective product, spent hours of time trying to work with them and their help desk, and will be out of pocket $60 with nothing to show. According to their help desk, return shipping should be less than $20, so I should only be out of pocket $20.00, not $60.00.
