More Info, TLDR; DO NOT BUY
This is my second Cuisinart food processor. My first one was great, had I been able to find a replacement blade, I would still be using it. I thought buying a larger model would be great, cutting down the double batches I had to contend with. So, first two times I used my new processor it worked fine. Less than 10 minutes of use in the first two times. Third time I am placing 1/4 cut vidalia onions in the feed tube, the motor stops and will not start. After checking the power, bowl placement, and then rechecking, still nothing. It happens, things go wrong. I call Cuisinart, am told still under warranty (less than two months, I would hope so.) I was also told I would have to ship it back at my cost and wait a minimum of two weeks for it to be returned. I explained that was unacceptable and called Amazon (should have been my first choice.) They are shipping out another and will arrive in two days. Happy with Amazon, not so much with Cuizinart. Crossing my fingers the replacement will work as supposed. Thanks Amazon.
Addendum: Second processor quit working. Turns out the safety push rod to engage the motor no longer works. The design of this is poor and is far from sturdy. But, Cuisinart informed they would send out replacemant parts at no charge. BUT, those parts are on back order and no certain date was given for items to arrive at their warehouse, let alone my house. I now have an expensive and useless food processor. Everyone was pleasant, everyone wanted to make sure I had a pleasant day, no one could resolve this issue with a practical solution. Buy at your risk.
