The Smithsonian put its name on this?!
It's hard to believe the Smithsonian allows its name to be associated with this piece of junk. There are three major problems:
(1) The stars in the planetarium are not arranged into any recognizable constellations, i.e., it's just random blobs of light. And they are blobs, not pinpoints of light. What on earth were they thinking of?
(2) The pictures of planets, etc., were impossible to focus. The middle of the planet would appear in focus while the edges were out of focus, and vice-versa. Very frustrating.
(3) Then there's the little things: The rotation of the stars is too fast. The stars simply go around and around, there is no summer-fall-winter-spring rotation, as there should be. There is a third button enabling the project of both stars and planets together, but the stars are superimposed on top of the planets, which just looks weird. Why would they include such a sucky option at all?
God, I can't believe anybody gave this more than two stars.
