Plumber here. This is total Fake garbage. Broke it just installing it!
I used to own a successful general contracting company. I worked for many years doing home remodeling and handyman work. I have installed literally thousands of commodes and commode flush handles. It seems that you cannot get a decent flush handle these days at your local hardware stores, so I went looking online and found this one. It reminded me of the old ones that are made out of real chrome and solid brass that I have seen last for decades. Boy was I fooled!
This thing is not made out of real alloy. The arm looks like brass, but it is just painted to look like brass. It is not brass. The arm is made out of what I believe to be compressed aluminum powder. It is extremely ridged and no flexible. It is very brittle and has zero flexibility. When I tried to install it, I could not because the arm impacted the front edge of the commode tank. All newer commodes have a curved tank face and so you have to have a handle that can be shaped to fit the tank. Thinking the arm was made out of brass, which is malleable and bendable, I tried to shape the arm so that it would fit. After applying only the tiniest amount of pressure the arm snapped in half like it was made of cheap plastic. I think plastic would actually be a lot stronger than this.
The bottom line. This thing is total garbage. Unless you have an old-style commode with a square tank that has a flat straight front, you cannot install this thing. Even if you do and get this thing installed, I doubt it will last very long at all. It is made out of such poor materials that I think it will snap off before you know it. A cheap plastic handle would last you longer than this thing.
