NO ANTI-SKID (picture is BS) -- Deal-breaker
PROs:
* Cools nicely
* Fans are quiet
* Extra USB slot (ABSOLUTE NECESSITY)
* Looks pretty cool
* Can shut off the fans/lights with a switch when you don't need cooling or to save power.
CONs:
* NO ANTI-SKID (the picture pointing to anti-skid bar is BS)
* Fans & lights are only controlled by the switch; won't turn off in Sleep Mode. (Switch is in the back, so forget trying to use this for your XBOX or PS4...)
As a laptop cooler, it's fine. Its size is fine. The lack of ANY anti-skid capabilities or tech, despite the deceptive mention of "anti-skid bar" in the graphics describing the product--is a huge showstopper. If I adjust the feet to angle the pad, my laptop slides forward.
There's no sticky/traction area at the bottom. There are no tabs or other mechanisms to lift up to act as anti-skid material. There's a minor, nearly imperceptible groove near the bottom, but that offers NO traction. It seems like it may just be cosmetic. (In fact, I'm not sure how they'd expect it to do anything. It doesn't RAISE, just dip down into a short trench--and since your laptop *will* be wider than the little groove (it's barely longer than some smart phones/phablets), the groove won't be wide enough to act as any kind of lip for the laptop to find purchase and stop skidding. That's just false advertising.
Considering it has competitors with the same benefits (size, decent cooling, quiet, extra usb port) but that offer anti-skid mechanisms that work for the same or lower price?
I'll be sending this back.
