This is the third APC 550 that I have purchased. They don't last. This one is less than two years old. The power chute software indicates my battery backup is operating normally and the battery is fully charged. When the power goes out my computer crashes immediately. It is not overloaded. I tested the 550 with a 13 watt light bulb and it would not light the bulb. I tested the battery and it is 14 volts. So I have a useless battery backup that does not work even though all indications are it is operating normally. Thanks for protecting my computer, APC.
