This review is for the "new and updated" (USB C) model of the Gear VR. Purchased to be used with the Note 7. The issue is that the adapters included in the box are incorrect. The manual states the locking adapter is USB C, and there is also an included USB to MicroUSB adapter for older phones. This is positively backwards from what came in the box. In the box, the (black) locking plug is MicroUSB, and the (white) adapter is MicroUSB to USB C. You probably see the issue already. This is a great setup for a Note 5 user. Not so much for a Note 7 user. If you even try to use the white USB C adapter, it creates an overall length far too long to clip into the headset, let alone being quite janky. I have a Note 5, and it fits and works just as expected, because it is a MicroUSB device. I can't believe Samsung made a mistake like this, and dealing with an ESL support agent just made matters worse. She insisted I needed to speak to Amazon, transferred me to them and assured me she would stay on the call, and she did not. Not to mention the fact that this clearly isn't an Amazon issue to begin with.
