I bought this because it supports HomeKit Secure video, and that should mean I don’t have to worry as much about the security if the device. Not one hour online (HSV enabled ) I’m seeing the device use a DNS server in China instead of what I have set for my network. This means the device does not respect the settings provided by DHCP on your network. There is NO reason this camera needs to override my network settings. May block this on my firewall or just return it as I’m very skeptical about Eufy now Edit: Blocking 114 DNS causes the device will fail back to Google and/or Cloudflare DNS but still does not use my internal DNS server. Customer service was very responsive and did reply to me and let me know my feedback had been "documented". I'm willing to hang on to this and evaluate future firmware updates for a fix. Edit 2: after several months still not impressed. These randomly get disconnected from HomeKit and must be removed then re-added. Any automations must be recreated.
