This is the first Amazon review I have ever submitted. I feel compelled because my customer service experience was so bad. I bought this chair for my wife and newborn son, but I was unable to assemble the chair due to defective components. I attempted to return the product but was told that I would be subject to a 15% return fee and $19 restocking fee if they were able to assemble it once I returned it. I consider myself relatively handy, but didn't want to take a risk that I would have to pay this absurd return fee. So I emailed and called Home and Living in an attempt to confirm that I had a defective product. No one was willing to help me. I also provided 3 pictures of the defect as required by the return policy. I returned the product and received a $60 refund on a $132 product. Home and Living claims that it was able to assemble the chair, but I have little doubt that they used substitute components or a different chair altogether. Amazon is investigating whether to compensate me for the remaining refund. I've always had excellent customer service experiences with Amazon, so I'm surprised they're working with this terrible seller. I will never buy anything from Home and Living again and highly recommend that you avoid them too. It's just not worth the headache or the risk.
