I have used this machine approximately 15 times and is about 9 months old. During the latest use, this piece broke during normal operation. This piece is made of flimsy plastic and is not durable enough to do the job that it is made to do. Item is out of stock, so I called customer service. I was told that they would send me a new one because my machine is still under factory warranty and there is no way that I can use my machine without this part and they don't know when the part will be back in stock. Being that I bought the machine from Amazon Warehouse Deals, they are refusing to replace the machine, even though I was told twice, by two different people, that they would send me a new one. Margaritaville's warranty states : "This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance." I received my machine factory sealed from Amazon and am the original purchaser. The only damage to the box was a 1" slit from possibly a box cutter. Margaritaville is not honoring their warranty, stating that the item was sold as "used-like new" There is nothing in their warranty verbiage that says that the product cannot be "used" just that a person has to be the original owner. Now I'm stuck with a paperweight now since the machine is inoperable because of a $1.99 part. Other reviewer states that this piece has been replaced multiple times. I'll never buy another Margaritaville product again since they are refusing to honor their warranty.
