In decades of teaching, I have never encountered a textbook with so many proofreading errors. Misplaced decimal points. Diagrams that do not match the test question they are supposed to match. Answers in the back of the book that do not match the question they are supposed to answer. Proofreading is one difficulty with this book. There is a second difficulty: explanations of strategies often employ complex vocabulary suitable for a teacher's manual but not suitable for high school level students. Clarity and simplicity are sacrificed. There are better books on the market.
