Disaster litter! Stay away! No odor control, wet clumps
I purchased two bags of this on the recommendation of Jackson Galaxy, cat expert. What a disaster.
This litter has absolutely NO odor control whatsoever. One of my cats used it for a normal bowel movement, and a urination. The whole house stunk like the funk of this litter, urine, and feces. While covering his feces the litter broke apart the feces itself and left little chunks about the size of a pea all over the box. Impossible to scoop out properly. While covering his urine the weak "clump" remained wet and rolled around flicking urine covered litter all over the room near the box area. Spent ages trying to clean this box to no avail. Every time I went through with the scooper more tiny chunks of feces were present. The cat did nothing abnormal but anxiously try and try to cover his feces since the litter does not help cover the scent at all. The litter itself was not properly sticking to the feces to seal it in. On the fecal matter scale his feces was perfectly normal at around a 4. Normally when using an unscented clay litter this cat's deposits have a faint whiff but dissipate quickly, nothing abnormal no diarrhea or anything. I ended up having to trash the whole thing which is 2 bags of this at $26 a bag down the drain. Then spent an hour cleaning the box out again, cleaning the floor near the box, cleaning the litter mat. The whole area was like a beach with litter tracked all around.
I was looking for an unscented litter that clumps hard as I have three cats that have many boxes throughout the house but like to use the same litter box one after the other, so a multi cat litter is a must otherwise daily they are stepping in each other's urine and feces. We were using the Dr. Elsey's litter but it has gotten so dusty in recent months that after pouring and one use by a cat, the whole box area is covered in a thick litter dust. I have to wipe out the boxes daily or my cats get covered in litter dust and sneeze/cough.
I have tried World's Best and thought it to be the world's worst in terms of odor control and clumping until I tried Sustainably Yours, now that award goes to this litter. Not by much though. I've tried many variations of World's Best and they all are terrible.
Save your money here, don't buy this unless you want a disaster on your hands like me. I don't want my cats using clay litter but we've tried wheat, corn, grass seed, cassava, pine pellets, walnut, paper pellets and basically every kind of litter there is available and unscented and none of them are a match for a multi-cat household.
My cats do not like the pellet litters even after attempting a very slow transition over a period of many months. Once the pellets are in there, those boxes are avoided at all costs.
Litter is terrible.
