This is a very dramatic movie that I think only a selfish , perverted feminist would enjoy. The acting was good and believable, it's not that. It basically shows a passionate, loving, caring relationship go down the crapper when the chick gets her sight back. Here this loving husband who has given her everything and taken care of her, is somehow seen as controlling? He is protective because that is normal and what a great man would be in that situation. You can see she is perverse in the first sex scene where she is imagining men all over her while she is naked. There was too much sex in the movie also. She gets her sight back and its suddenly clear she has been living in this fantastical reality and imagining things in a completely different way. So now she is unhappy with the life she previously loved. Nothing is good enough and she wants more. She tries to explore her sexuality more although her husband is completely in shock of her behavior and confused as to why she's suddenly so different. She sleep with another man and gets pregnant by him. Her husband tried ruining her eyesight since it was obvious she was now on the path to ruining their lives. Do I think that was right? No. But that's part of the way they try to bring you into the same old politics of how terrible and oppressing the white man is. He must deserve to die at the end while we praise her for saving her sight and having a child from an affair? Really a disgusting and pathetic.
