Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

A fundamental concept in engineering is that it is difficult/expensive to build a multifunction device that works as well as the single purpose devices it replaces. That notion is exemplified by the Vacmop. As a liquid floor cleanser, it is worse than devices like a Swiffer because it is much heavier, and therefore requires more effort. As a vacuum, I can suck in more air than the Vacmop. The suction is so bad, I found it could not ingest an onion peel. To pick something up you must place the Shopvac dead center in front of the item. Then it is ingested into a small compartment within the pad assembly. At some point, you will need to remove the assembly. It is likely when you do so that the dirt will spill out uncontrollably. I recognized the problems quickly, and requested a refund within two hours of opening the carton. I gave the Shopvac one star because I could not give it zero. I purchased the item because of the hype in a Shark TV advertisement. I have heard that they are often less than truthful. I have a good vacuum and a Swiffer. I now do not know what I was thinking when I purchased the Shopvac.
