”1000mg" is deliberately misleading
I bought this under the belief that each tablet was 1000mg, as it seems to say in the product title. Most other l-carnitine is 500mg/tablet, and at only slightly higher cost/tablet, this looked like a great deal. But no, upon receiving the order, I now see it says "1000mg servings", and since they've arbitrarily decided that a serving is 2 tablets, each tablet is actually only 500mg, like most other, cheaper offerings on Amazon. I can't help but conclude that this way of presenting things was deliberately designed to mislead. The title as it read now is "L-Carnitine 1000mg Servings 120 Tablets...". They found a way to put "1000mg" next to ”120 tablets" by arbitrarily declaring that 2 tablets was a serving. With dietary supplements especially, what counts as a serving very much depends on the goals of the person taking them. Declaring that two tablets is a serving is meaningless, and I have a hard time seeing any reason to do it other than to mislead customers. There are plenty of more reputable (and cheaper per mg) vendors of l-carnitine out there. I recommend you buy from one of them.
