Writer beware. Deserves 4 stars, but...
This app deserves 4 stars. It opens Word, exel and .txt documents, and allows you to edit and write in these formats (it likely does more but these are the features I've used)! It would even get a 5/5 if it allowed me to edit the standards of its Normal setting so that I didn't have to change writing settings everytime I created a new file. So why 2 stars if this app is so wonderful? One word: Calibri. Calibri is a writing style format that the writer is automatically set to, despite there being no such style in its settings. There is also no Times New Roman. In fact, I recognize practically zero of the style names this app contains. This becomes a problem when you write/edit a document, save, then transfer it to a computer. No matter what I do, or how I change formatting in my computer settings, when I go to edit a doc that's been saved through this app the writing style immediately switches back to Calibri with size 10 fonts if I press enter or backspace. It's annoying to no end. And you can forget about changing styles, saving, exiting and then reopening the file. It makes no difference. Calibri is permanently etched into the files. Size 10 font is permanently etched into the files. I haven't even checked what it's done to the book notes in my exel file. I just can't bring myself to see how royally I've been screwed there. If this were fixed, the app would be a solid 4 stars. Until then, however, don't use this app unless you have no need of using the file on different devices. And for god's sake, don't write your book with this if you plan to be published. Publishers require certain formatting, even when using Amazon Kindle to publish. You'll have to retype the whole work in a new file to fix this problem.
