Very Disappointed.
I thought I had found the perfect cordless vacuum after reading the product description. However, after trying it out, (yes using a fully charged battery) it was clear this vacuum wasn't going to work for me. Pros: 1) Soft noise 2) Lightweight Cons: 1) This vac DOES NOT SUCK. My B & D dustbuster and Shark Pet Perfect hand vacs have far superior suction power to this one. I thought it may have to do with the length of the metal stick, but still same lack luster suction regardless if no attachment is used. 2) The attachments are NOT universally adaptable on this machine. I've never heard of such a thing on a vacuum! The metal stick is only meant to attach the floor head. You CANNOT attach the crevice tool, pet hair brush, or nozzle brush to the metal stick extension!!! Huh? Why would Black & Decker limit the use of this product? I thought the extra metal stick was the big selling point vs it's BDN2000. For me, it defeats the purpose of buying this product all together. 3) I used this once and the minimal debris in the canister got stuck on one side of it. (due to limited sucking power) I had to stop using it at that point. 4) The floor head is almost impossible to attach to the metal stick. It supposed to just slide into place and magically stay there. I needed someone with muscles to attach it for me. However, over time, I'm not too sure how secure the PLASTIC connection would remain because....wait for it.... 5) There is NO ACCESSORY CLIP to hold the plastic floor head in place! Yet, there is a hole in the metal stick where a clip could go if the floor head had been designed correctly. Surprisingly, ALL of the other attachments DO have accessory clips. So why cut corners on the "big selling point" with this model? 6) When using the carpet selection, you can only move the stick one way. So you literally have to pick up the stick and place it in position after each stroke. It cannot move in the typical "back and forth" motion. Again, with no accessory clip, I cannot imagine the plastic floor head remaining secure over time. The product concept is right on track. It would be great if the design and motor issues were addressed. I would try this vac again if they are fixed.
