The massager generally worked quite well, although it smelled terrible. Also, it could only be used for a few minutes before it would become unmanageably hot, and the stainless steel would literally burn the skin. After we had the unit for five weeks it started smoking, and the motor lost power. I called Jeanie Rub and was informed that my unit was part of a batch that was made with "incompatible parts" (see attached screenshot of the letter the emailed me) that caused the unit to emit a strong oder and overheat. I was also sent a FedEx ground shipping label so that I could return the unit for repair, which will likely take several weeks. I wonder about Core Products' quality control, given the oder that the unit produced from the first time it was used. I will provide an update to this review after my repaired product has been returned.
