This one was to replace a worn out one. I was stunned to find the new one has changed an important feature. As with the older units the pan goes into an error code and beep when a pan is lifted. On this new one, you have to hit the start button every time to get it going again. This is a pain when flipping things. Flip and stir, push the start button. Flip an egg, and push the start button. I am going to request a return and see if there is another brand without this baloney. Note, you cannot get parts for an old one either. The touch pad wore out on both of my old ones and they just wanted to sell me a new unit. I love my induction cooking and will not be without one or two.
