While appearing quite padded and sturdy, after several months of use I have found these 'professional looking' oven mitts to be less than effective at keeping out the heat. I have a double oven, and just taking a cookie sheet out of the top oven gives barely enough time to get the pan onto the stove top before my hands are feeling the heat more than they should. Purchased these to replace years-old mitts that the padding had gotten too thin to offer much protection, but these are barely any better. Found a mitt hanging on a strip at Kroger for $1.99 that offered better protection than these mitts. I purchase from Amazon on a regular basis, but this is my first review because I feel so strongly that those, like me, who see the term 'commercial grade' would think that these are a professional product and should be warned they are not.
