I bought this litter box because I love Nature's Miracle products and have never had a problem. I am sad to say that Nature's Miracle FAILED with this litter box. SEVERAL FLAWS! 1) the slightly dipped lip on the entrance is way too low. No matter how much/little litter I put in, there always ends up being a pile just outside the entry. Just light digging from my cat and it flies right out the front and onto the floor. Its too low and doesn't catch and keep litter in. 2) if you have a cat that pees a little high or on the sides of the litter box... this is not the box for you. One of my cats peed just a little too high once and hit the white/top of the box... instead of dripping down to the litter, it dripped down and when it got to where the top and bottom pans meet, it went between the two and dripped to the outside of the box and down to the floor... a common complaint I saw before purchasing this box but didn't think my boy was a high urinator so I shrugged it off... When I went to clean it, I removed the top and there was also some pee that pooled on the lip of the bottom pan where it connects with the top. 3) No handle on the top. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying when you want to move it or when you go to take the lid off to scoop. 4) the description says "The deep black base has flecks of gold for a sleek look that will look great in any home." There are no gold flecks. It's just straight up black and white. I don't care at all but I figured I'd mention that it doesn't have gold specks like is advertised. 5) claims that things will not get stuck to the pans... Every time I scoop I have to scrap urine off the base pan because it is definitely stuck. Overall, highly HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND to any family, friends, or total stranger - Unless they enjoy having litter scattered everywhere and would be ok with the possibility that urine might leak and run down the sides onto their floor! Hopefully in the future Nature's Miracle will improve the design but for now I will stick with a new brand I found and love - Catit.
