UPDATE: yes absolutely I loved it at first and thought others were just doing something wrong when applying it BUT within 2 weeks my hair really faded to an almost gray color. It looked dead and I resembled a zombie. I will never buy this again and I don’t recommend it. HAd to take the stars away. I bought two boxes of this at Walmart then came on here and read the reviews. I’m glad I bought it first. I have natural blonde hair but it was toned with an ash blonde about 2 months ago. I wanted to do purple in my hair again but didn’t want to bleach it. I saw this and figured I would try it. I’ve been coloring my hair since I was 13 and I’m now 35. I’m not a professional at all but think I know enough about my hair to have faith this would work. I used both boxes on clean air dried hair to the point of saturation. Covered my hair with a hair cap and left it on for 45 minutes. When I rinse I always rinse with just water till mostly clear then I condition then wash and condition again. It is a darker purple but I can tell it will fade some as there was still some color coming off when I was done. I didn’t make a mess when applying so it didn’t stain anything. I used a washcloth with water and contitioner to remove from skin around my face and on my ears. When rinsing I sprayed the shower down as I was also rinsing so nothing has been stained. I think it’s beautiful now and will fade into a beautiful lighter purple. If you’ve used regular box dyes and also have experience with products like Pravana and know you’re hair then you should try this. Don’t be scared by all the bad reviews. I’ve attached pictures and I went from lighter blonde on top blended to a medium ash blonde at my ends to this beautiful purple.
