Another (formerly) great product killed by greed
These used to be awesome until some beancounter at Stanley decided to cut costs and ruined what were probably the best sawhorses out there. I still have the pair I bought around 8 years ago, but decided to pick up another pair for work. Although they look similar, they are very different. I am cutting some maple butcher block countertops that weigh around 250 lb each and the height extensions collapsed under the weight. The "outrigger" extensions which I LOVE on old horses also bent when extended under the weight of the maple top. They are not the same quality or thickness as the old horses, and therefore are not worth the premium price. You are better off saving your money and buying any old saw horses.
Aside from warning away other buyers, I am writing this review on the hopes that someone at Stanley will read it and revive production of these to the old spec. I only wish I had bought another set or 2 when I had the chance.
