I have narrow feet and my ankles are just over 7.5". Being a highly sensitive person I don't like tight clothes. I am sharing these personal details because you might want to measure your ankles before buying these socks. I wish somebody did, because you never know why some people complain about tightness and others are happy with the product just the way it is. The socks look really nice and I was so happy to open the package and put them on. I wear shoes size 8.5-9 and these socks fit perfectly. However, the ankles are unbearably tight for me. Within a few minutes it felt like they cut off circulation. Very disappointed I had to return them. The quality seems to be very good and they are soft and pleasant to touch. I can't tell though if they maintain that cozy comfort, because I couldn't wait to take them off and unshackle my poor ankles. I hope this review will help some to make the right choice. If the design is improved, I'd give them another try.
