I don’t understand all the good reviews because maybe I have a lemon but this vacuum is horrible. I have a cat and a dog. We have a roomba. It does amazing. I got this also and half the time I either use it as a dust buster or I let the roomba handle the floors. It’s pretty lightweight compared to a traditional vacuum. That’s where it’s perks stop. It’s loud. Ok it’s a vacuum. So I’ll let it slide that it feels loud on both hard and soft floors. Probably because the motor is loud and it’s also located in the handle so it’s not muffled against the floor. It is easy to maneuver. The head turns well and it does fit under the sofa. If we charge it all night it can run with decent suction for 10-15 minutes. I say decent because it cannot pick up dirt from foot prints near the door on the carpet well. It does a decent job of you go very slow on a full charge. On hard floors it picks up some dirt but not all. I have to flip it to a handheld dust buster to get anything bigger than dust up. It cannot pick up cat litter that spills. With the brush running it just flings it inside it’s brush housing and when you turn it off everything falls back to the floor. If I turn the brush off it struggles to vacuum up random pieces of cat litter and just mostly pushes them around leaving virtually all of it on the floor when you turn it off. My own hair constantly gets wrapped around the brush and I have to spend time cutting it off which is gross and annoying. I waited too long to try to try to return it and now I feel stuck with a really expensive dust buster. I took it to my office thinking at least we could use it there and my assistant offered to bring her old school vacuum from home for us to use instead. In my home we have only hard floors and then tiny carpets at the front and back door. In the office we have low pile commercial grade carpet and wood floors. So those really should be easy to handle for this vacuum.
