I love this product for what it has done for my cat. She's calm and not afraid anymore of her own shadow! However, the affects it's had on me and my family is another story. It was recommended to me by my vet and I was told that it's just cat pheromone and won't affect humans. He was half correct. The problem is how the pheromones are delivered into the air. It uses isoparaffinic hydrocarbons. Ok, so what? They're used in all kinds of things. BUT, with this product they are heated and diffused into the air. For my family and I it caused loss of appetite, nausea, fatigue, headaches, dizziness, feelings of inebriation, visual disturbances, muscular weakness, and impairment of coordination. This started very slowly over a week until 2 weeks later it was full blown illness for us. I thought maybe we had the flu or something. But after more than a week we weren't getting any better. I finally started clueing in that our symptoms got better if we left the house for the day. I started doing some research and found that isoparaffinic hydrocarbons are 'likely' safe for humans but for those with sensitivity issues it can cause all the symptoms I listed earlier. I still love this product but can't have it in the house because of the issues we're having. I'm hoping that my review will help someone else who might be experiencing these symptoms discover they are not losing their minds and it's just the isoparaffinic hydrocarbons.
